Caring for Skin of Color: That Certain Something
African American, Latino, and Asian. They're all beautiful women of color, encompassing many different cultures and ethnic groups. But there's one thing we have in common, we all want rich, radiant beautiful skin. Because our skin has higher melanin levels, we're more prone to marks, scars and dark spots. These discolorations are caused by post inflammatory hyper pigmentation or PHI. So what can we do about it? Plenty. Treatment options include topical face creams, both over-the-counter and prescription. And don't forget the moisturizer with sun block. Look for products with an SPF of 30 for the best protection. And prevent breakouts and improve your skin tone and texture with an exfoliating wash with salicylic acid. Give your rich skin tone the attention it deserves and you'll always have That Certain Something.
